It is never a good idea to write down usernames and passwords in a notebook or digital file, especially when there are so many password managers available on the Internet. MyPassMan provides a fast and simple solution for storing login information in a secure fashion. You just need to type in the relevant information and click a few buttons. The application comes with powerful encryption protocols, which can prevent anyone from acquiring your passwords.

MyPassMan is free and you don't need to install it. You just need to download and run its executable. Its system requirements are modest, so it will not put your hardware to the test. Furthermore, the application is written in Java, so you can use it on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Account details are displayed in a table of contents, on the main user interface. You can decide which columns should be visible or hidden, by clicking a series of check boxes, in the general settings menu.

Accounts can be defined on a separate window. Besides the username and password, you can also specify the web site's name and URL, add your personal notes and send the account to a new group or an existing one. Additionally, you can set the program to hide the account's name password or your notes, on the main interface, set up an expiration date and select an action, which should be carried out when you open a URL.

The available options, located above the table of contents, can be used to copy a selected account's username or password, to launch its URL or to clear the clipboard. These options are particularly useful if someone is looking over your shoulder and you don't want him or her to see your login credentials. The application's interface can be protected with a master password and you can lock it at any time, with a single click. You can also select a different encryption algorithm, on a separate window.

Pros

MyPassMan's functionality is straightforward. You just need to fill in a series of input fields with your login credentials and the application will protect them. Usernames and passwords can be copied to the clipboard, without revealing them. The software comes with powerful encryption algorithms and it lets you decide which ones to use.

Cons

You have to download and install an additional tool if you want to use certain encryption algorithms. Thanks to MyPassMan's simplicity and efficiency, you can secure your usernames and passwords in less than a minute and keep them safe at all times.
